Xiaomi Corporation, often known as Xiaomi Inc. in Asia, is a Chinese consumer electronics and software, home appliance, and household item creator and producer. It is the world’s second-biggest smartphone maker, after Samsung, with most of its devices running the MIUI operating system. The firm is placed 338th on the Fortune Global 500 and is the youngest. Xiaomi was started in Beijing in 2010 by now multi-billionaire Lei Jun and six senior colleagues when he was 40 years old. Lei developed both Kingsoft and Joyo.com, which he sold to Amazon in 2004 for $75 million. Xiaomi launched its debut smartphone in August 2011, and by 2014, it had the most outstanding market share of smartphones sold in China. Initially, the firm exclusively offered its items online, but it gradually expanded to include physical locations. As a result, it produced a wide variety of consumer gadgets by 2015.

The business expects to sell 146.3 million smartphones in 2020, with over 500 million monthly active users on its MIUI operating system. According to Canalys, Xiaomi beat Apple Inc. to become the world’s second-largest smartphone vendor in the second quarter of 2021, with a 17 percent market share. Using its Internet of Things and Xiaomi Smart Home product ecosystems, it is also a prominent maker of gadgets, including TVs, flashlights, unmanned aerial vehicles, and air purifiers. Xiaomi maintains it’s pricing close to its manufacturing and bill of materials expenses by keeping most of its devices on the market for 18 months, far longer than other smartphone manufacturers. The firm also utilizes inventory optimization and flash sales to support its inventory low.

Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10T, Redmi Note 9 Series

When Xiaomi starts rolling out the Android 13 upgrade, which is scheduled to take place later this year, dozens of the company’s different models are sure to get the update. But, on the other hand, it seems that the business will not support some of its most popular products, such as the Mi 10T and Redmi Note 9 series, in their entirety. A list released a few days ago and came from a generally considered credible source gave some insight into which Xiaomi devices will be eligible for the Android 13 upgrade later on in the year. Unfortunately, even while handsets from the Mi 11, Xiaomi 12, and Redmi Note 11 series are all excluded from the particular feature of a duplicate photo remover, a few pretty popular models don’t seem to have made the cut.

According to Xiaomi, the Android 13 update will not be made available for any phones in the Mi 10 series. The Xiaomi Mi 10 line of smartphones made their debut more than two years ago with Android 10, and they have since gotten upgrades to Android 11 and Android 12. That is the exact same thing that happened with the Xiaomi Mi 10T and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, both released in 2020. They have gotten Android 11 and Android 12 but will not be receiving Android 13. Many other mobile devices, including the Redmi K30 series, the Poco F2 Pro, the Poco M2 Pro, the Poco M2, the Poco X2, and the Mi Note 10 Lite, have suffered the same fate. It seems pretty doubtful that the Poco X3 will also get Android 13, whereas the popular Poco X3 Pro appears to be on track to get it. In addition, it seems as if none of the Redmi Note 9 or Redmi 9 series phones are eligible for the promotion either.
