Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta platform, stated, “We are rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp.” This brand will not offer this feature to their premium customers, but anyone can try it after installing the latest update.
The WhatsApp Emoji Update
There were some limitations for WhatsApp users because users were only provided with six reaction emojis, and people were getting bored after using all of them for several months. Emojis include a thumbs-up, a heart, clasped hands, happy tears, an open mouth, and a weeping face. Thanks to the recent update, there will be no restrictions on sharing emojis because you can add and remove any specific reaction depending on your favorite selection.
Although there was major smartphone memory loss, the WhatsApp community was experimenting with unique ways to communicate creative visuals as reactions. To get rid of large files that weren’t compatible with reaction emojis, several users even used WhatsApp photo cleaner apps. There were no authentic apps to blend creative emojis into chats except the one provided by WhatsApp. The new feature is only a pleasant aesthetic upgrade, and users are no longer restricted from utilizing the six pre-set emojis. With this, the Meta-owned company aims to surpass Telegram, which by default supports a wider variety of emoji replies but requires a paid subscription to access more.
Emoji replies are entertaining and give a dimension of personality that is sometimes missed when speaking by text and not in person, while being simple to dismiss as silly. To select any emoji, all you need to do is just long-press on a message, hit the Plus button, and select an emoji from the whole selection to use as a reaction. The emoji you chose will be seen beneath the message; after the update, the drop-down options will provide a wide range of emojis that can be selected or removed at any time.
The new update will be available for Apple and Android users, but you will need to wait for a few weeks to get the experience of amazing emojis without spending a single penny.
