Another year is ending, and it’s time for the roundups. Overall, it has been a good year for the app world, whether it be Android or iOS. We saw some innovative ideas and a few that we won't miss.

We shall be going over the top 4 apps that we believe stood out in 2022.

Console Launcher

Console Launcher is a mobile gaming launcher. It’s designed to appear like the Nintendo Switch UI, with your games shown as huge tiles. The launcher has a few gamer-friendly features, such as gamepad compatibility, which allows you to cycle between your games with the flick of a joystick. It’s a cool little feature for folks who often game with controllers, but it’s a little specialized otherwise.

Some drawbacks include a lack of customization and less-than-ideal accessibility support, and using it without a controller is actually less ergonomic. In any event, the launcher is $4.99 with no in-app purchases or advertisements.

DeepL Translate

DeepL Translate specializes in foreign language translation. It presently supports 29 different languages. To receive direct translations, you may input in words, use your camera to look at text, or even chat to the app. So, if you are looking for an easy way to localize your content, you can copy data into the site and get quick and accurate translations. The user interface is basic yet functional, with a few contemporary touches to keep it from seeming antiquated.

It does not support as many languages as Google Translate or Microsoft Translate. Those applications have years of development maturity over this one, so the fact that it supports more than a dozen languages is still noteworthy.

Linktree

Linktree is a website dedicated to biographies. It is used to construct a profile page. The website will then produce a brief link for you to use in your social media bio. Links to Linktree may be found on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. The app is a website extension that allows you to create the same items you see on the website.

Symfonium

Symphonium is a cloud-based music player. You may use the software to connect to Plex, Subsonic, Jellyfin, Emby, Kodi, and other services. It works by connecting to your computer’s music library and playing it like any other music program. It may seem specialized, but there aren’t any other applications like it on Google Play, which is why it’s on our list. To our knowledge, the app accomplishes what it does better than any of its competitors.

Song ratings, smart filters, smart playlists, Android Auto compatibility, offline playing functionality, lyrics support, and an equalizer are among the extra features.

These are all for now! We can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for app development.
