Google’s Pixel 6 lineup has been perhaps the most anticipated device of 2021. Before its release, there were a plethora of rumors and speculations circulating the World Wide Web. The Pixel 6 series has received a pleasant review overall. Consumers consider it a catch for a mid-range device.

While the Pixel 6 lineup might be one of the best smartphones the company has ever produced, it is worth mentioning that a few issues have been quite troublesome.

Pixel 6 Lineup Plagued with Issues

The Google Pixel 6 series was released last month, and it includes a new design, improved camera hardware, Google’s own Tensor SoC, the most recent version of Android, and more. The device can easily run apps such as duplicate photos remover. It’s undoubtedly the greatest Pixel smartphone in a long time, but it’s not without flaws.

There are a number of issues with Material You, including reports of a slow fingerprint scanner and even ghost-dialing. However, it appears that consumers will no longer have to struggle with ghost-dialing, as the company is working on a solution.

According to a Pixel community manager, the problem should now be resolved by updating the current Google app (12.43.18 or higher). According to them, the update is already going out on the Google Play Store, so if you don’t already have it, you should have it shortly. It looks that if you removed “Hey Google” hotword detection, you may re-enable it without phoning random people on your contacts list.

For the uninitiated, several customers complained that their phone would flash up and say that it was contacting a seemingly random entry on their contact list, even in calm surroundings. As other users confirmed the issue, a Reddit thread on /r/GooglePixel gathered a lot of traction. To make matters worse, customers stated that the problem occurred at different times with different contacts and that it occurred on multiple Pixel devices, including the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 4a.

It seems for now the issue has been resolved. However, the number of issues on the device is quite troublesome hence should be resolved ASAP as well.
