Telegram is one of the leading messaging platforms especially since the controversial privacy policy update by the Facebook-owned app, WhatsApp. The application is known for its one of kind features such as Secret Chats and it seems the company is taking the application to the next level.

Audio Room Feature

Clubhouse has recently risen to popularity as a result all major social applications are trying to replicate its most popular features for their apps. As of now, various platforms have released their versions of Clubhouse’s Audio Rooms. This is quite similar to when Snapchat came up with the stories feature and multiple applications such as Facebook and WhatsApp followed.

Telegram is the latest application to follow the audio rooms trend. Telegram is reportedly testing voice chats for channels which enables Telegram groups to have a large group discussion. Moderation features are needed for the success of this feature since it was the roadblock Clubhouse faced before it shot to fame. Additionally, Telegram Voice chats can be added to any Telegram community which offers a seamless medium for communication.

If Telegram’s feature adheres to the framework of Clubhouse’s audio rooms then there is no doubt that its popularity will surge. From what we know so far if a person speaks there is a label that appears on top of the display plus after the chat has started users can use the app as per usual. The microphone settings will be available o the display and give users the option to mute and unmute their microphone.

The best thing about Telegram is that it supports a great number of people hence users can easily have discussions and study groups online.

Summing Up

It is worth mentioning that Telegram is not the only application developing the audio room features, recent reports that Instagram is working on its version of the audio room by allowing multiple people to go live simultaneously.

We would have to wait for the feature to roll out to determine if it was successfully duplicated and if it works better than the original Clubhouse Audio Rooms.
