Telegram adds new spoiler design and emoji reactions
Telegram isn’t the most secure messenger out there, but it is one of the most feature-rich and handy platforms. It’s jam-packed with convenience features, and it doesn’t appear like the app’s creators are planning to stop adding new features anytime soon.
New Features Added to Telegram Beta 8.4
Telegram’s latest Android beta, version 8.4, includes several much-anticipated features like spoiler text formatting and emoji replies.
Both responses and spoilers have been part of the iOS beta for some time, but we didn’t have any visuals or videos to show off the features on Android at the time. That’s no longer the case, and, as predicted, reactions and spoilers are nearly identical on iOS and Android. Moreover, When you’re talking, you may long-press and highlight the text you’re going to send, then go to the menu and select a new “spoiler” style option, which will obscure your writing until your receivers or you tap it. This works for entire texts as well as specific phrases or chunks. It is worth mentioning that users can backup messages easily to save them in case they’re accidentally deleted.
When it comes to responses, you’ll have a choice of 11 emoji to pick from when responding to a message. When you tap the speech bubble you’ve received or sent, they’ll appear. Thumbs up, thumbs down, heart, laughing, party popper, fire, shock, and more emoji are among the options. Individuals can only pick one of these reactions; each new reaction chosen by a person overrides the previous one. Beautiful winter background with falling snowflakes is another nice addition to the beta.
Wrapping Up
Before you run out and try out all of these features on your pals, bear in mind that you’ll need to be a beta tester to utilize them. Only version 8.4 users may view reactions, and spoiler-styled text will appear as an ordinary text for everyone using the stable release. You may either persuade your pals to download the beta or wait for Telegram to release version 8.4 in stable mode.
Telegram Beta is not accessible on Google Play. Instead, you’ll have to get it through Microsoft’s App Center repository, which is where the firm distributes new versions of its programs.
