Shocking revelations regarding the iPhone 14 revealed
According to 9to5Mac, insiders within Apple have verified a number of details regarding the next phones, including the iPhone 14 mini’s absence from this year’s iPhone launch event. In the report the sources claim, we’ll see a 6.1- and 6.7-inch ‘basic’ model of iPhone which would be the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, respectively, as well as the rumored iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
However, as we revealed last week, Apple is said to be ditching the notch in favor of a pill and punch-hole display on the iPhone 14 Pro versions, which would necessitate them being significantly taller to accommodate the additional sensors. Furthermore, 9to5Mac’s sources have ‘verified’ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s allegation that the chipsets would be split: the iPhone 14 and 14 Mac will get the A15 Bionic processor from last year, while the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will also get the much-vaunted A16 chip.
There’s also talk that Apple would include satellite communications in its iPhone 14 lineup — not to watch Netflix on space signals, but to provide share data such as emergency messaging and connections when you don’t have cell coverage.
Although presumably free in the event of an emergency, as is phoning emergency services over any network, it will be fascinating to watch how Apple advertises this if it becomes accessible as a consumer service.
