The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE isn’t the only phone from the company that has been delayed this year. The Galaxy S22 series was expected to be unveiled in January, but due to a global processor shortage, the next flagship smartphones are expected to be unveiled in early February.

The Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are planned to be released as part of the S22 range. So far, there have been lots of speculations regarding the complete Galaxy S22 series, but now we’re learning even more about the S22 Plus.

Further Details

New renderings of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus have been released by MySmartPrice, showcasing the smartphone in four different color schemes: black, white, green, and pink gold. We’re not sure whether these are the real names for the hues, but as revealed in a leak from December 31, the names might be labeled as Phantom Black, Phantom White, Phantom Green, and Phantom Pink.

Aside from the leaked renderings, a few critical specifications for the S22 Plus have also been released. It will apparently have a 6.55-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display, which is somewhat smaller than the predicted 6.8-inch display on the S22 Ultra. The smartphone will contain a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom, and a 32MP front camera, according to an article.

According to rumors, the whole Galaxy S22 range will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the United States, while certain European nations, including the United Kingdom, would get Samsung’s undisclosed Exynos 2200 CPU. The Samsung device will easily carry out Android transfers.

Additional speculated specifications can be found in a reliable source dated January 15. The Galaxy S22 Plus will feature a peak brightness of 1,750 nits, according to the newspaper. If genuine, this would be a welcome boost from the S21 Plus’ max brightness of 1,300 nits. According to one estimate, the S22 Plus might weigh 195g, down from 200g for the S21 Plus.

Wrapping Up

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S22 series on February 9, 2022. Pre-orders will be available from February 9 through February 25, 2022, when the phones will be available for purchase. We’re still waiting for Samsung to send out formal event invites, so take this information with a grain of salt.
