Reasons Why You Should Stick with Your Old iPhone

September is almost approaching, which means Apple’s speculated iPhone 14 range might arrive in the following weeks. In most times, Apple announces its new iPhone models in September and launches them soon thereafter. Even if you don’t need the latest iPhone, there are solid reasons to wait before investing on an iPhone 13 or 13 Pro.

Older iPhones May Become More Affordable

When launching new iPhone models, Apple frequently lowers the pricing of prior versions, as it did with the iPhone 12 last year. Following the announcement of the iPhone 13, the price of the 64GB iPhone 12 was reduced from $800 to $700. Meanwhile, the iPhone 11 will be available for $500 in 2021.

This year’s iPhone launch may be even better for people who like to save money by purchasing an older model. If Apple follows the trend of 2021, it will most likely maintain the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini in its range while lowering the price of the Mini to $500. This is noteworthy since it would make the iPhone 12 Mini one of the most affordable 5G iPhones on the market. Plus it has top-notch features including ease of large file transfers and more.

While 5G isn’t required, it’s a good idea to make sure your next phone has it if you want to retain it for the next three years as those networks evolve.

iPhone 14 Launch is Imminent

If Apple follows its usual pattern, the iPhone 14 will be announced in the first part of September with iOS 16 and released in the second half. Apple, for example, launched the iPhone 13 on September 14 before making it available in shops on September 24. The iPhone 11, iPhone 8, and previous generations were released at around the same time.

However, there have been a few outliers. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro were released in October 2020, with the 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max following in November of same year. The iPhone X was also released in November 2017. In terms of the iPhone 14, reports suggest that the Pro model will include an enhanced 48-megapixel primary camera and a new notch-free design. Apple is also expected to offer a larger-sized version of the ordinary iPhone 14.

If you can wait for a little while longer, you can save money and get a fantastic new iPhone but if you really need to get a new smartphone then go for it. It might be a bit pricey and out of budget but the features will justify the cost.
