Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition: All You Need to Know
The Realme GT2 Pro is an excellent smartphone. The Realme GT2 Master Explorer edition, the second half of Realme’s flagship phone, is now available. This GT2 Master Review arrives a bit late, so be ready for all the facts.
Display & Design
Realme is one of the few firms whose flagship phones use a flat screen. The GT2 Master sports a flat screen with an ultra-narrow bezel. The screen is excellent, and the ultra-narrow bezel alone is enticing. Its bottom bezel is around the same width as the iPhone, while its left and right bezels are even thinner than the Xiaomi 12S Ultra’s curved screen. And, since it has a plastic screen holder, it’s more elegant than a phone like the K50, which has a top-tier flat screen as well. The screen is not from Samsung, but it is still quite good. Aside from the greenish side view and the FHD+ resolution, there’s nothing to complain about.
We tried a white GT2 Master. The white rear cover will become yellow. At first inspection, the camera module is still a realme’s family design, simply average, and it seems to be a relative of the OnePlus ACE. The GT2 Master has the same features as the GT2 Pro, such as NFC and dual speakers, plus the SIM cardholder can carry two Nano SIM cards. Furthermore, the finger recognition region has been shifted a bit lower, making it less comfortable to use. The most noticeable difference between the GT2 Master and the GT2 is the flatness of the bezel, which makes holding it less pleasant.
Overall Performance
The GT2 Master includes two pressure-sensitive triggers incorporated into the bezel, and the flat bezel ensures that you don’t slide when you push it. It does not look or feel like other gaming phones, where the trigger has specific visual or tactile processing; instead, it looks and feels like a conventional phone. Even if you wear a phone cover, it will not hinder your control. We tried a couple games and move to iOS apps, and the results were excellent.
Camera
The primary camera of the GT2 Master is, predictably, an IMX 766. The JN1 ultra-wide angle camera is an ancient dish, while the third camera is a 40x macro. Let’s begin with the most intriguing. This macro camera is not the first of its kind. It has the potential to capture great photographs. You can also use it to capture video, however the footage will be a bit wobbly for some reason. In any case, it’s a fun lens to use. Although it is not often utilized on a daily basis, it is always more beneficial than certain depth of field or 2 MP macro cameras.
As everyone should be aware of the IMX 766’s capabilities, they have the same benefits of having vibrant colors and a high dynamic range as other realme phones. The dynamic range is especially boosted in the night mode photographs. However, this causes the photographs to be a little flat, therefore in most circumstances, we suggest taking shots in regular mode. The GT2 Master lacks a telephoto lens; the primary camera crop works well during the day, comparable to phones with 2x telephoto, but the picture quality is poor at night. Furthermore, realme loves to sharpen the shot, making the whole image appear like a painting. The nigh mode is adequate.
Video recording can be done at up to 4k 60fps, with the option to swap lenses while recording at 4k 30fps.
Battery Life
Big battery and quick charging couldn’t coexist on a phone in the past, but the GT2 Master with 5000mAh and 100w charging capability proves otherwise. It just takes 5 minutes to charge to 33% and half an hour to fully charge this large battery, which is extremely astounding.
Overall, the GT2 Master is off to a strong start and if you are looking for a flagship gaming phone this is the one for you.
