OnePlus unveils important aspects of its next phones days before they are officially unveiled. The OnePlus 10T is set to be released on August 3rd, and the company has already shown its design, stated that it would lack the Alert Slider and Hasselblad tweaking, and carry up to 16GB of RAM.

OnePlus 10T Fast Charging

With just a few days till the launch event, the BBK-owned business has revealed another significant OnePlus 10T feature: 150W rapid wired charging.

The 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition can charge the OnePlus 10T’s 4,800mAh battery from 0% to 100% in only 19 minutes. The bad news is that the charging technique is only compatible with 220v or higher power outlets. However, you should be able to carry out copy my data functionalities uninterrupted. This implies that whether you reside in Europe, India, or any country where 220v is often used, you may benefit from this function. However, if you reside in the United States or another location where 110–120v is often used, the charging speed of the OnePlus 10T will be restricted to 125W. This is still quick enough to charge its cell to 100% in 20 minutes.

The good news is that if you purchase the OnePlus 10T in North America and go to Europe or any Asian nation, your phone will charge at the maximum 150W pace. This is in contrast to the OnePlus 10 Pro’s US edition, which did not support 80W SUPERVOOC charging and had a charging speed of just 65W.

OnePlus will provide a 160W SUPERVOOC power adapter and a suitable USB-C connector with the OnePlus 10T regardless of region. The charger will also support the USB-PD protocol, however no details on its output were provided. Nonetheless, this means you can charge your MacBook and other USB-C devices using the same brick.

Despite delivering so much power to the battery in such a short period of time, OnePlus promises in its announcement that the 10T’s cell would maintain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. This is due in part to the company’s Battery Health Engine and Smart Charging Chip, which keep heat and voltage in control, particularly in the final 10% of the battery’s charge, when the battery is trickle charged with an accuracy of 100mA and 10mV.

OnePlus 10T will have 128-bit encryption that will only recognize authentic SUPERVOOC chargers and cords for safety reasons and to verify you are using original accessories. Only when using a suitable cable and charger can the phone charge at its maximum 150W pace.

Almost everything about the 10T has been exposed through leaks and OnePlus themselves at this point. The future device will be a “performance-oriented flagship” that will compete with the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is said to include a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, up to 16GB RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, a 4,800mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera.
