Nothing Phone 2: Leaked Specs Hint at Premium Upgrades
Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, has already hinted at the premium features of the Nothing Phone 2, set to launch in the US later this year. Now, new reports are shedding light on just how premium the device might be.
Specs & Features
According to a reliable tipster at MySmartPrice, the Nothing Phone 2 will run on a yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset, potentially the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2, which is more than enough for day-to-day tasks such as transfer photos and more. The device will have a slightly larger battery (5,000mAh vs. 4,500mAh) and will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which was the maxed-out configuration for the Nothing Phone 1. The 120Hz AMOLED display will keep its refresh rate adaptivity, although it is not clear if this feature will be expanded in the next generation.
Virtual RAM
Another exciting feature of the Nothing Phone 2 is its virtual RAM, which allows a portion of the storage disk to act as RAM. We have a detailed explanation of this technology, as well as some thoughts on Samsung’s implementation of it as RAM Plus.
Launch Date
It is speculated that the Nothing Phone 2 will launch in the third quarter of this year, following the launch of the Nothing Phone 1 in mid-July last year.
We’re eager to see what other features and upgrades the Nothing Phone 2 will bring. With its speculated specs and features, it promises to be a premium experience for users. In the meantime, model number A065 might offer some insight into the device, and we’re curious to see if Carl has any more Easter eggs in store.
