MOTOROLA MOTO G PURE: Affordable Smartphone in 2022
Motorola’s G line has proven throughout the years that a low-cost smartphone does not have to lack basic functionality. Motorola’s smartphones are their top priority to get a decent share in the market. The latest news is linked with Motorola MOTO G Pure releasing in the USA that has mixed features. We will discuss all major factors involved in making Moto G Pure the next-generation product presented by Motorola.
The Moto E, Motorola’s $150 phone from last year, receives various updates, including additional memory and a USB-C connection, for around the same price. However, when you examine the G Pure on its own merits, you will discover that the lack of power encourages you to concentrate on one item at a time. This smartphone is not listed in the top tier of successful products of 2022 but still, some features make it worth trying at least once if you are not a fan of Motorola smart devices.
MOTO G PURE FEATURES
MOTOROLA Moto G Pure design is basic with no additional changes with a shell-shaped plastic and has curving ridges covering most of the surface to make it seem more tactile and less cheap. The only meaningful extra is the IP52 classification, which provides dust and mild water spray protection. To some extent, much of Motorola’s portfolio has been hyped as “water-resistant,” but it’s nice to see certification in there. The fingerprint sensor is now located on the back with the camera lens pushed off to the top left side of the smartphone.
On the other hand, the bezels around it remind us of how large the smartphone is for users to put in their pockets simply. The selfie camera is situated in a raindrop-style notch in the center of the screen, creating a large space on the left and right sides of the screen. The SIM and microSD card tray are on the left edge, while the volume and power controls are on the right. On top, you’ll discover a microphone hole and a headphone port. The bottom has the USB-C connector, a speaker grille, and another mic hole.
Motorola has done an excellent job of staying out of Android’s look and feel while delivering helpful features. Notifications on the ambient peek display are fantastic, and the chop gesture to switch on the flashlight is quite useful. The only true annoyance I have in aesthetics is that the home screen only allows for four apps in a row, no less, no more, even after I’ve fiddled with the DPI setting. Motorola smartphones have some basic issues with slow application functions forcing users to install memory cleaner tools to restore internal memory.
Running day-to-day life with the MediaTek Helio G25 processor of Moto G Pure, which has eight low-power Cortex-A53 CPU cores and 3GB of RAM, hasn’t been easy, but that wasn’t unexpected. Understanding that having YouTube picture-in-picture, chrome split-screen, or playing a 3D game would cause Moto G Pure to stutter can be problematic if not handled on time.
Moto G Pure battery, 4,000mAh, can last for a minimum of two days; while the maximum charging rate of 5W to 10W is low, it is highly recommended. If kids play games consecutively, the smartphone can instantly consume 40% battery power.
Verdict
The Moto G Pure has a better camera than the older version with a 13MP rear camera with a 5MP depth sensor selfie camera that enables a few party tricks like a spot color shooting mode and portrait-style background blurring. Unfortunately, the dynamic range of the primary unit is rather poor; therefore, HDR must be enabled at all times. The Moto G Pure is a great smartphone but still needs improvement and if you are looking for a mid-range product with average features, simply purchase this product.
