iPhone 14 Pro Camera Shaking & Vibrating in Certain Apps
After the release of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, several early adopters have reported that the primary lens of the back camera shakes uncontrollably in third-party camera applications including as Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram, resulting in shaky video. The built-in Camera app does not seem to be affected by the problem.
iPhone 14 Pro: Unstable Camera in Third-Party Apps
Since the iPhone 14 Pro versions were released on Friday, individuals on Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, and the MacRumors Forums have noticed the issue, although it is unknown how prevalent the problem is or what the underlying reason is. The primary lens of iPhone 14 Pro models has “second-generation” sensor-shift optical image stabilization, which might be acting up due to a software problem, although this is just conjecture. Luke Miani, a YouTuber, reported experiencing the problem on one of the iPhone 14 Pro Max devices he was testing.
If the problem is caused by a software defect, Apple may provide a patch in the iOS 16.1 beta along with Android file transfer upgrades. We are waiting for Apple to see whether they were aware of and/or researching the problem, but they have yet to react.
If they are worried about possible harm to the rear camera system, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users should avoid opening the camera in applications like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram until the issue is rectified. We will provide any more information regarding this problem, including Apple’s reaction, as it becomes available.
