How to Transfer Photos from Android to Windows PC
Do you have thousands of photos stored on your Android phone and want to transfer them to your Windows PC? Whether you’re wiping your old phone or simply want to view your photos on a bigger screen, there are several ways to transfer your photos to your Windows computer.
Plug your phone into your PC
To transfer photos from an Android phone to a Windows PC, connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable. On your phone, swipe down from the top of the screen and change the USB connection option to “File transfer.” Open File Explorer on your Windows PC and navigate to your Android device. Go to the Internal Storage or Internal Shared Storage folder and open the Camera folder. In another window of File Explorer, open a local folder on your PC and copy and paste or drag and drop the photos from your phone to your computer.
Use the Windows Photos app
To import photos from an Android phone to a Windows PC using the Photos app, open the Photos app on your PC, click the Import button and select “From a connected device”. Then, select your Android phone and allow the app to generate all the photos from the device. You can choose a different folder for importing the photos by clicking “Change destination” and select “All items” from the drop-down menu for Select. Finally, check the box for “Delete original items after import” and click the Import button.
Use Microsoft OneDrive
To sync photos from an Android phone to a computer using OneDrive, first install the OneDrive app on your phone if you haven’t already done so, then open the app and sign in with your Microsoft account. Next, tap the Photos icon and turn on the Camera upload option. It is also worth mentioning that OneDrive is one of the easiest ways to data transfer across devices. The photos will be synced and can be viewed in the OneDrive folder on your computer.
Use Microsoft’s Phone Link
To transfer photos from an Android phone to a computer using Microsoft’s Phone Link, first link and sync your phone with the Phone Link app. Then, open the Phone Link app on your computer, select “Phone” from the left menu, choose “Photos and Videos” and select the photos you want to transfer. Finally, click the download icon to transfer the photos to your computer.
