How to share files on Google Drive
Google Drive is perhaps the most convenient tool for collaboration and sharing files. It is an infamous cloud-based storage drive which comes with 15 GB of free storage. Basically, you have a personal space to store PDFs, Sheets, Docs, Slides and more.
How to Share Files on Web
Google Drive allows you to work with others by inviting them to the file or folder directly. Just follow these simple steps.
Go to Google Drive and sign in with your Google account. Navigate to the file or folder you want to share, then right-click and choose Share. Then, in the Add individuals and groups box, enter or paste the email address of the person you’re allowing access to the file. If there is more than one collaborator, you may enter several emails. Make sure to choose the proper file access permission from the right-hand drop-down option (Viewer, Commenter, or Editor).
In the dialog box’s lower-right corner, click the Send button. Along with an email notice, your file or folder is shared with the emails.
In case you want to share multiple files at once, hold the Shift key while clicking with your mouse to select the files or folders, then release the Shift key and right-click any of the chosen items to access the Options dialog. Click Share and enter the email addresses of collaborators in the Add individuals and groups box.
Moreover, Google Drive also provides links that may be copied and forwarded to other platforms if you desire a more extensive file-sharing approach. Users may see or alter the file by clicking the link, depending on their permission settings.
Click Share after right-clicking the file or folder you want to share. Then go to the section General access. Use the blue Share button on the top right if the file is an open Google file (Docs, Sheets, or Slides). To open a drop-down menu, click the Restricted button. Choose Anyone with the link from the list of possibilities, then adjust the permissions on the right. In the lower-left corner of the dialog box, click the Copy link button. The file URL has been copied to your clipboard. Distribute the link to anybody on any platform.
In addition, if you want to share links to multiple files you need to right-click to open the Options dialog after selecting all of the things you want to share. Click Share and use the General access option to define the permission settings for the objects, or specify permissions for specific files. Finally, in the lower-left corner of the box, click Copy links. The URLs are copied to your clipboard and may be sent in mass to anybody.
