An American international technological conglomerate with its headquarters in Menlo Park, California, Meta Platforms, Inc., also known as Meta and previously known as Facebook, Inc. and TheFacebook, Inc., is a company that does business as Meta. The corporation is the parent organization of several subsidiary businesses, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Meta is consistently ranked among the most valuable firms in the world. Along with Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft, it is regarded as one of the Big Five American information technology corporations.

Facebook, Messenger, Facebook Watch, and Facebook Portal are examples of goods and services considered meta. In addition, it has obtained ownership of Oculus, Giphy, Mapillary, Customer, and Precise, and it has a 99.99 percent share in Jio Platforms. The advertising spots that the firm sold to other businesses brought in 97.5 percent of the company’s total income in the year 2021. It was reported in the media in October 2021 that Facebook’s parent corporation intended to change its name to “reflect its concentration on developing [what it refers to as] the metaverse.” The integrated environment that unites all of the firm’s goods and services is referred to by Meta as the “metaverse,” and the company uses this term. Later that month, on October 28, it was relaunched under the name Meta.

It’s not a simple question to answer when someone asks how to move their Facebook account to a new phone. There are several different approaches you may take to do this, but the most appropriate one for you will be determined by the kind of phone you are already using and the kind of phone you are interested in purchasing. For instance, if you are moving from an Android phone to an iPhone, a few steps are somewhat different from those involved in moving from one model of iPhone to another. If you are going to an Android to iPhone transfer then follow the following steps.

  • Facebook provides a user-friendly account migration option.
  • Simply log in to your Facebook account using your old phone, go to the settings, and click on “download your data.” After that, follow the instructions for signing in using your new smartphone.
  • After you have finished with that step, return to the settings menu in the app, tap the “accounts” menu option, and then scroll down until you find the “migrate accounts” function.
  • Choose this option, enter your login and password, and confirm your selection by clicking the “submit” button.
