Google’s Desktop Search Results Can Now Be Scrolled Endlessly
With an upgrade that allows users to continuously scroll across many pages, Google is making desktop search results more like mobile search results. In the United States, desktop search results are now getting continuous scrolling.

Google describes how the SERPs would show up to six pages of URLs before urging visitors to click on “more results” in recent reports. This upgrade is a gain for conventional websites as Google continues to load the first page of search results with advertisements, highlighted snippets, media, ‘people also ask’ boxes, and other features.
Allowing searchers to browse through six pages at once enhances their chances of viewing more results before encountering a snag. For example, if you are looking for an easy way for WhatsApp backup transfer, you will see more options rather than just a handful. However, we do not anticipate that this modification will have an effect on reporting. When Google updated mobile search results to continuous scrolling last year, it highlighted that there is no change in Search Console. This is because Search Console monitors SERP positions rather than pages.
While there will be no major changes Console wise, it will greatly improve overall user experience.
