Google previews a more robust Tasks sidebar for users retention
It’s easy to see why Google Tasks doesn’t get a lot of attention. It has relatively limited functionality, and Google Keep can do all of its functions. Tasks, on the other hand, maybe become more beneficial. In a blog post, Google announced a new version of the Tasks sidebar, which includes a few useful enhancements.
A Revamped Google Tasks
The Tasks sidebar is featured in Gmail and Docs, among other applications. The new user interface does not reinvent the wheel in any way. Instead of having a single list of things visible, you may have all of your lists visible at the same time. To aid concentration, the new sidebar now allows you to collapse any lists that you don’t need to see. For example, making mental notes such as how to remove contacts and more. Adding tasks and making lists are also easier to understand since they’ll be large buttons at the top of each list and at the bottom of the panel, respectively.
Additionally, there’s one more new feature: favourites. Two tabs are located at the top of the sidebar. One is for all of your lists, while the other is for stuff you’ve designated as favourites. We can only conjecture about how it will operate because there is no favourite capability in the present version of Tasks. To know for sure, we’ll have to wait. We haven’t seen the new Tasks in action yet, and Google hasn’t made an official announcement. We’ll keep a close eye on everything.
