Google Pixel Widget Breaks with 100-Degree Temperature
If you reside in a specific region of the United States, you are aware of how warm it has been lately. In the Southern region, temperatures have frequently reached triple digits. The Google Pixel smartphone is not designed for unexpected burning weather. According to the latest reports these widgets, which are exclusive to Google’s Pixel phones, are stuffed with data and change color depending on the background you pick. It has become clear from using the Pixel Weather app over the past several days that the main widget was not intended to display temperatures exceeding 100. So why is this problem occurring and how users are tackling this situation, let’s find out here in full detail.
Pixel’s Weather Widget
The largest widget configuration provides a two-day forecast, the current temperature, weather, and today’s high and low. One of the widgets is an oval with a sloped left side that is positioned on the screen. The widget displays the outdoor temperature and the weather at the moment (sunny, cloudy, rainy, etc.) The other widget, which may expand from a little rectangle to a large one with the current temperature, the day’s high and low, and the present circumstances, is the main issue that will be discussed here.
The city you are in, a brief description of the weather such as “partly sunny”, the current temperature, with highest or lowest data, a symbol representing the current weather, and a glimpse at the temperature and forecast for the next four hours are all displayed when this widget is completely extended out. The Pixel smartphone user receives plenty of weather forecast information but the problem lies with this widget. The widget is affected when it is predicted that any point in the following four hours will be at least 100 degrees. The widget’s section that displays the expected temperatures for the next four hours is jumbled.
Weather Widget Issue
The time of day for the forecast is eliminated when the degree icon is shifted down to the next line and replaces the sun/moon icon. For some Pixel users, the issue is not resolved by adjusting the widget’s size. Some even tried phone storage cleaner tools to observe if their smartphone’s internal memory is causing the widget’s malfunction issue. The problem was something else that damaged the basic functionality of the widget’s accurate temperature measurement. Except for this design fault, the widget uses data from Weather.com and does give Pixel users some relevant weather-related information. Some users continue to encounter irregular problems with the widgets failing to update without a tap that opens the complete experience.
How to use Pixel Weather Widget
If you are new to Pixel’s weather widget and facing difficulty to receive the best weather update within your region, simply long-press a space on your home screen, then tap Widgets to access the weather push notification app on your Pixel smartphone. Drag the second of the two widgets from the Weather section to the location on the homepage where you want the app to appear. The app will provide a detailed overview of the current and upcoming weather information in a real-time scenario.
Google will Notify Soon
Since it appears that triple-digit temperatures are becoming more frequent, maybe Google will provide an update to address this problem. Until the largest digital brand shares any authentic details, all you can do is try to find a suitable weather forecast substitute app for accurate results. It is unclear when Google will modify Pixel’s weather widget features but the chances are extremely low at this moment. Wait for the next official announcement or you might get a brand-new weather widget with the release of Google’s Pixel next model. It would also be fantastic if the Widget could be fixed in the end.
