Google Pixel Watch: Colors & Prices Leaked
Apple’s Far Out event is done and dusted, time to gear up for Google’s hardware event which is to be held on 8 October in Brooklyn. One of the anticipated releases is Google’s Pixel watch, the smartwatch was previously teased by the tech giant in May and now we have a bit more information on the device. Here are the leaks so far.
Leaks & Speculations
It was revealed today that a pricing range would be available, this time for the basic model without LTE in the EU; this one will supposedly sell for anywhere between €250 and €350 depending on the retailer. That’s a really wide pricing range to talk about, but if the final price is somewhere closer to the lower end of that range, it’s quite comparable to a lot of other companies’ offerings.
Aside from the price, we have also been provided with what are believed to be the official names for the three hues that will be available for the Pixel Watch. These colorways are known as Chalk, Charcoal, and Obsidian. It is important to take notice that the next Pixel 7 smartphones will also also be sold in Obsidian, which is Google’s method of pronouncing “black” in the year 2022. Those phrases unmistakably seem like they were created by Google.
The Pixel Watch will automatically run Wear OS and will feature a circular OLED screen, an internal system-on-chip manufactured by Samsung called the Exynos 9110, a co-processor called a Cortex-M33, 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a battery with a capacity of 300 mAh. The processor is capable of handling bulk Android file transfers hence the smartwatch should work flawlessly. Google Pixel Watch seems impressive on paper but will it beat its tough competitors and stand out or blend in the crowd?
