Google Nest Hub has a revamped UI interface similar to Android
Google Nest Hub has come a long way since its release. The constant updates have made it a must-have device for Google users. According to the latest reports, on the Google Nest Hub device, your smart display will soon get a new user interface. The Silicon Valley tech giant is updating its smart home Hub devices with a new software update that makes it easier to access settings and applications from the home screen. However, for some users, the upgrade has resulted in a bootloop.
Revamped UI Interface
There are two new ways, the update alters how you use the gadget. If you slide up from the bottom of the display, it’ll first bring up an app drawer. It will list all of the apps such as iOS transfer, on your smart display in alphabetical order, just like Android does on smartphones.
Swiping down from the top of the screen will reveal the fast settings panel, which includes the date and time along with brightness, volume, bedtime, Do Not Disturb, alarms, and other options. This page also allows you to view the settings for individual rooms.
The user interface of the Nest Hub is unmistakably similar to that of Android phones. That may make it feel more natural to use, but if you’re used to the prior design, it’ll take some time to adjust.
It isn’t an optimal upgrade for some. According to some Reddit users, the latest update is causing their device to bootloop. It’s unclear which items are vulnerable, although the 2nd Gen Nest Hub and the Nest Hub Max have both been reported to be affected. Users are presented with a white screen with four multicolored dots when they enter the bootloop. Some Reddit users believe that disconnecting and reconnecting your Nest Hub from the mains power would fix the problem. It doesn’t appear to have worked for everyone who tried it, so keep that in mind if you give it a shot.
