Google Bard: The AI Chatbot That Aims to Mimic Human Interaction
Google has recently launched a new chatbot tool called Google Bard, which is designed to simulate conversations with humans. It makes use of natural language processing and machine learning to provide helpful and realistic responses to user queries. This tool is a direct response to the ChatGPT, an AI chatbot developed by OpenAI.
Google Bard: Overview
Google Bard is an AI chatbot designed to provide automated support and human-like interaction for businesses. It is built on top of Google’s Transformer neural network architecture and uses LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications) technology. The tool is designed to augment Google’s search tools and offer natural language support to customers without the need for large support teams.
How do I use Google Bard?
As of now, Google Bard is only available to limited beta testers. However, Google is expected to roll out a wider launch in the near future. CEO Sundar Pichai accelerated the development of Google Bard in early 2022 following ChatGPT’s successful development. If you are not part of the beta testing group, you’ll have to wait until Google announces the wider availability of Google Bard.
Google Bard vs. ChatGPT
Natural language models and machine learning are at the heart of both Google Bard and ChatGPT. They do, however, have distinct characteristics. ChatGPT is based on data gathered up to 2021, but Google Bard has the ability to respond with up-to-date information. For example, if you want the latest ways to transfer SMS messages from an Android to iPhone, Google Bard will be able to provide an accurate answer while ChatGPT might provide outdated info. ChatGPT focuses on conversational queries and responses, and it is being utilized to answer more conversational inquiries in Bing’s search results. Google Bard, on the other hand, will be used only to supplement Google.
Both chatbots use language models that are somewhat different. Google Bard makes use of LaMDA, while ChatGPT is based on GPT. ChatGPT also has a plagiarism detection, while Google Bard does not.
ChatGPT is readily available to try out, while Google Bard is limited to beta testers only.
Google Bard: Release Date
Google Bard is already accessible to a restricted set of Google beta testers in a limited version. However, there is no set date for its general release. However according to the statement by Google CEO Sundar Pichai we may see Bard more widely accessible in the coming weeks.
