Brand New Mac App Record Everything For You to Replay Later

Rewind AI has unveiled a self-titled software program for Macs with Apple Silicon that allegedly retains a highly compressed, searchable record of everything you do locally on your Mac and allows you to “rewind” time to view it later.

According to Rewind AI, their software saves all recorded data locally on your computer and does not need cloud connectivity. Rewind’s claims include the ability to rewind Zoom sessions and extract information from them in a searchable way.

When a user taps Command+Shift+Space on the Rewind.AI website, the app launches. “everything you’ve seen, talked, or heard,” the search bar offers. It also displays a timeline at the bottom of the screen, which indicates prior app activity.

The video illustrates a grid view of every time Rewind has seen the term “tps reports” as audio or text in any app, including Zoom chats, text messages, emails, data switch progress, and Word documents, after searching for “tps reports.” It covers how to filter the results by app and how to copy and paste from previous occurrences if required.

A pretty useful app for keeping track of things but there are potential privacy concerns that we hope that the company addresses. We will need to test it further to provide a full verdict, for now we advise to use the app with caution.
