We are not getting another Apple event, but the tech giant has much in store before this year comes to an end. According to the latest announcement, the iPad Pro will be powered by an M2 processor and will have Wi-Fi 6E.

iPad Pro 2022

The 12.9-inch and 11-inch screen sizes of Apple’s next flagship tablet will be available. Preorders begin today, and the device will be available in shops on October 26th, beginning at $799 for the 11-inch model and $1,099 for the 12.9-inch model.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro, like the 2021 upgrade, has Mini LED display technology for increased black levels, higher contrast, and more dramatic HDR performance, while the smaller model has a more basic screen. Both utilize Apple’s ProMotion technology, which allows for refresh rates of up to 120Hz.

The new iPad Pro has a new “hover” capability that identifies the Apple Pencil when it is held slightly above the screen. According to Apple, hover allows users to get a preview of their mark before they make it. Furthermore, wireless networking has been improved, with the iPad Pro now supporting Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and additional 5G networks. Silver and space gray are the color possibilities, and storage is still limited to 2TB. However, it is more than enough for daily file sharing but we dud expect a slight upgrade. As previously, the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models have 8GB of RAM, while the 1TB and 2TB iPad Pros have 16GB.

Wrap Up

Apple has said that iPadOS 16, the most recent significant software upgrade for the tablet, will be published on October 24th. Part of the reason why iPadOS has lagged behind the release of iOS 16 is due to Apple’s difficulties implementing a new feature called Stage Manager. During the beta testing stage, several iPad power users were critical of the multitasking feature’s problematic performance.

The company has taken note of the bugs and is expected to release fixes in the next update.
