Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro & 14 Pro Max are expected to gain Storage Increases

Several information about the full iPhone 14 series, and not just the Pro versions, have been revealed by analyst Jeff Pu. For background, Apple is still slated to deliver two ‘Pro’ iPhones in the fall, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, both of which will be available in the United States. Apple differentiated the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max from the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 small last year based on three features: cameras, ProMotion screens, and RAM, among others. On the other hand, Pu feels that Apple will eliminate two of those features with the iPhone 14 series.

According to a study note obtained by MacRumors, Pu claims that all iPhone 14 models will have 6 GB of RAM, which is an improvement above the current 4 GB of RAM seen in non-Pro versions. According to Apple, Apple now equips the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max with 6 GB of RAM but only employs 4 GB of RAM in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 small. While it is believed that Apple will discontinue the tiny model this year, it is possible that it could be replaced with a non-Pro Max variant.

For whatever reason, Apple has decided to hold off on upgrading the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to 8 GB of RAM, which is the bare minimum that Android flagships must have these days. However, according to MacRumors, it seems doubtful that Apple would bring back the 64 GB storage capacity as the entry-level storage configuration for the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max, as it did for the iPhone 13.
