Apple is one of the world’s most well-known smartphone companies. It is infamous for starting trends and giving customers unique, fresh designs. Apple seldom divulges information about its projects, but recent speculations and leaks from reliable sources claim that the iPad 9 will be released in September.

As September approaches, new reports about Apple’s upcoming devices become more common. According to a source, Apple will release the iPad 9 next month, boosting its tablet shipments to 60 million units.

iPad 9

The new iPad 9 will not have any “major design improvements,” but it will help Apple increase overall iPad shipments. Apple is working on a new entry-level iPad, codenamed J181, that will include an A13 processor. The A12 Bionic CPU powers Apple’s current 10.2-inch entry-level iPad, so this would be a significant performance boost for Apple’s most basic tablet. The tablet will be able to carry out functions such as file sharing without any trouble.

Last week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter that Apple is working on a new ninth-generation iPad aimed at students, featuring a slimmer form factor and speedier engine. Furthermore, the next iPad will also come with an aluminum-alloy chassis that has been PVD-treated. Apple is also exploring providing iPads with titanium-based metal chassis, according to the sources, but the exorbitant expenses of doing so may not be feasible at this time.

More adjustments to the company’s tablet lines are in the works. Apple expects to add OLED to the iPad Air, and microLED to the iPad Pro and other products over the next few years as the technology becomes more inexpensive.

Summing Up

There are a lot of new iPhones, iPads, Macs, and AirPods to be unveiled as we wait for Apple to announce all of its events and products. We will have to wait for the official announcements and releases to determine if these are indeed high-end, premium devices.
