Apple responds to battery drain issues after the iOS 15.4 Update
The iOS 15.4 update brings a slew of improvements, including the option to perform Face ID while wearing a mask, a new Siri voice, and Live Text interaction with Notes and Reminders. However, the iOS 15.4 update has sparked concerns about battery loss, with many iPhone users reporting that they are running out of power significantly faster than previously.
Battery Drain Issue Arises
Battery life issues are prevalent when an iOS update is released, as we highlighted when we originally reported on this issue, and iOS 15.4 is no exception.
Now, on Twitter, Apple has reacted to one of those iOS 15.4 concerns, from user JY, who claimed, that the battery loses power a lot faster than normal, which is “absurd”. The tech giant’s response was not surprising, they advised users to wait 48 hours after the update for the battery to return to the norm.
In other words, Apple is just advising users to wait for the iOS 15.4 upgrade to complete. If the battery life drain continues, contact Apple for assistance.
Despite Apple’s habit of supplying lesser capacity batteries than competitors, iPhones’ battery life is often rather decent. According to Tom’s Guide, the iPhone 13 Pro Max lasted an impressive 12 hours and 16 minutes on their battery test, which entails continuous web surfing over 5G at 150 nits of screen brightness, as you can see in our iPhone 13 battery life test findings. It is worth noting that the latest update has made it easier to run phone clone apps.
That’s long enough to make our list of the greatest phone battery life. Anything over 11 hours is fantastic. The iPhone 13 Pro lasted 11:42 minutes, whereas the iPhone 13 lasted 10:33 minutes. The iPhone 13 mini has a battery life of 8:41 minutes.
The new iPhone SE 2022 lasted 9:07 minutes, which is somewhat longer than the iPhone 13 mini. However, the iPhone SE’s 4.7-inch display may be advantageous in this scenario; the iPhone 13 mini’s display is 5.4 inches. The overall takeaway is that OS updates can temporarily degrade iPhone battery life, but if Apple is correct, this will not be a long-term problem.
