When installing the appropriate profile on an iPhone or iPad, developers are able to download iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 via the Apple Developer Center or over the air. The profile is available for download on Apple’s beta testing website for public beta testers.
In comparison to the previous point releases of iOS 15, iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 are very small upgrades that include just a few tweaks and improvements, including minor improvements to android to iPhone transfers. Although there are references to it in the beta version, Apple has not yet made the Apple Classical app accessible for download. However, it is possible that the company may do so sometime in the near future. Apple is laying the groundwork for functionality that will let developers of “reader” apps add a link to an external website for the purpose of signing up for and managing accounts outside the App Store by utilizing the iOS 15.5 update. Apple is using this update to lay the groundwork for this functionality.
There are also minor updates to Apple Pay Cash including the addition of Request and Send options, as well as adjustments to the iTunes Pass that was previously accessible in the Wallet app. Whereas, the public release of iOS 15.5 is expected next week.
