Apple has released a new Magic Mouse & it still charges from the bottom
Apple’s Magic Mouse
Apple’s sleek Magic Mouse is now available in a black-and-silver color scheme, along with the Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keyboard, which are all now available in a black-and-silver color scheme.
It’s worth mentioning that the Mac Studio comes exclusively in silver, not black. The new Studio Display, on the other hand, features black bezels and a silver stand. These gadgets appear to be functionally identical to the older white ones. Some black/silver accessories were offered with the Mac Pro, but they weren’t accessible separately until today.
Unfortunately, the Magic Mouse still includes a USB-C charging connector on the bottom, which means you won’t be able to use it while it’s charging, you’ll have to pause functions like file sharing till the mouse charges. Although this doesn’t happen very frequently — Apple claims the battery lasts approximately a month between charges — it’s still a clunky design decision that seems very un-Apple.
The Magic Mouse will set you back $99, the Magic Trackpad will set you back $149, and the Magic Keyboard will set you back $199. They are all $20 more expensive than the white variants. All of them are now available for purchase on the Apple Store.
