Apple and Dark Sky are bringing the best weather forecast experience for iPad OS 16

Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC22) introduces exciting news for their followers by presenting a fresh weather app for iPad OS 16.

Apple weather widget for iPad was creating issues for their users because it was directly linked to Weather Channel’s site. This site was filled with ads and caused heavy memory usage for iOS and iPad OS.

Apple was tackling several complaints including a failed navigation system and bugs that were forcing users to try various methods for cleaning their iPad and iPhone memory.

iOS users started installing the best apps for phone cleaners, duplicate files remover, and data managers. The lack of positive feedback from long-term customers is the major factor for Apple adding a key weather app for iPad OS 16.

Apple is introducing a native weather app for their users

The popular weather app Dark Sky is now working with Apple to launch WeatherKit which will provide the best down-to-the-minute forecast.

This app will be covering key details such as tracking storms, weekly weather updates and predicting weather conditions in specific zones.

Dark Sky is an extremely reliable source for those Apple users that are looking for 24 hours and 7days weather forecasts.

At WWDC22, Apple finally announced the release of their very own weather app specifically for iPad and it will run on iPadOS 16.

The Dark Sky new app for Apple users will show the complete weather data including forecasts and maps only for iPad OS 16.

The SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi at Apple briefly demonstrated the features of the new native app with this statement;

“We’re also bringing Weather to the iPad, taking full advantage of the stunning display with beautiful animations like these gently moving clouds, heavy snowfall, and driving rain,”.

Craig Federighi further explained the native app will also include tappable weather modules, allowing users to drill down into information such as the forecast, temperature, precipitation, UV index, air quality, and more.

When tapped, a window will appear that will overlay the app’s home screen and display the detailed information.

Dark Sky co-founder Adam Grossman supports the idea of connecting with Apple.

He stated; “Our goal has always been to provide the world with the best weather information possible, to help as many people as we can stay dry and safe, and to do so in a way that respects your privacy,”

The weather app will be launched with iPadOS 16 and Dark Sky by Apple will be releasing it on the App Store.

What are the top features of Apple’s native weather app?

The iOS16 updates will allow Apple users to add live wall wallpaper on the lock screen and depict the current weather conditions as they change throughout the day.

The best features are full-screen maps and eye-catchy designed weather forecasts with a remarkable smart layout. iPadOS 16 Dark Sky weather app is a powerful tool that will present detailed temperature maps and precise air quality data with color-coded scales.

Apple’s native weather app has several smart upgraded elements and among the best features are;

· Animated backgrounds with real-time weather conditions.

· Notifications when it is about to rain or snow.

· Zoom in to see more of the map, or use the list to quickly access other saved locations.

· View air quality-related health advice.

· View forecast for the next 24 hours as well as the daily forecast for the next ten days.

You can get the next-generation Apple weather app in a few months and iPad OS 16 for public beta testers will be available in July.
