Apple finally rolls out iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4
iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 are the fourth significant upgrades to Apple’s iOS and iPadOS 15 operating systems, which were published in September 2021. A month after the release of iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1, Apple has released iOS and iPadOS 15.4.
iOS 15.4 & iPadOS 15.4 Launched
The iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 upgrades are free to download, and the software is accessible over the air in the Settings app on all compatible devices. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to get the updated software.
Face ID while wearing a mask is now an option in iOS 15.4. It operates the same as standard Face ID but scans the regions surrounding your eyes for verification. Universal Operate is a new feature in iPadOS 15.4 that allows you to control numerous Macs and iPads with the same mouse/trackpad and keyboard.
The upgrades also include 37 new emoji types and create the basis for Apple Pay’s new “Tap to Pay on iPhone” functionality, which allows NFC-enabled iPhones to accept payments. Updates include the ability to add custom domains to iCloud Mail directly from the iPhone, Siri improvements, new Emergency SOS capabilities, faster file-sharing, and much more.
The new update includes the following features:
- Face ID with a mask option is available on iPhone 12 and is newer.
- Faces, hand gestures, and domestic objects are among the new emoji added to the emoji keyboard.
- FaceTime SharePlay sessions may be started right from the applications that support it.
- On iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, or newer plus, Siri may deliver time and date information when offline. Siri now has a fresh tone to her voice.
In addition, there are minor adjustments made to the Safari browser and a few bug fixes. Apple users can view the complete list of updates in Apple’s full release notes.
